The traces of the moon across the night sky are an investigation of the passage of time in the landscape. Moon trails in the images indicate time though their measured translation remains unknown. The trails depict time only visible to the camera. Time and the exposure for each photograph are measured by my natural response to the darkness and the nighttime cycle. Exposures begin just after dusk and end based on my desire to go to bed. The lunar traces hold the magic of another world, one that my eye cannot see without the camera. The circles of light represent the presence of the camera lens and space uninterrupted by man-made signage and lights.
